Mawlana Shahbaz Ahmad began his studies at the age of 15 under the tutelage of the research scholar and academic Allamah Ghulam Hussain Asim Maturidi. He studied the sacred sciences from many Ulama and is well versed in various languages that are taught in Islamic and secular educational institutions including Arabic, Farsi Urdu & English.
He has taught Dars e Nizami in various cities/towns and has a passion for books and teaching. He has also established a very thriving and successful Madrasah in Ashton under-Lyne under the Name of Jamia Al-Nur. The Shaykh is the resident Imam, Khateeb, and Mudarris of Jamia. Many students, congregants, and the wider Muslim communities from all walks of life come and learn from the Shaykh. Some of his students have gone onto study Fusha Arabic further in the Middle East especially Kuwait. Due to his very friendly nature and humble approach, many have been guided to the right path and some have accepted Islam due to his guidance. He also lectures though-out the UK and Pakistan and is well versed in contemporary Muslim issues in Western Muslim cultures. Due to this in-depth understanding, knowledge, and experience, he is approached by Mosques and Madāris to teach and deliver lectures and sermons. The well-researched content, good oratory skills, and delivery are well-liked by the diverse Muslim community of all ages. Ustadh Shahbaz Ahmad also oversees charity projects in Pakistan. Jamia Al-Nur Masjid & Madrasah in Pakistan has been built by his noble father Hazrat Shaykh Sufi Noor Muhammad Sahib. He takes an active part in helping the vulnerable and the needy and also facilitating marriages of poorer families.
